Arrange your ideas in sequence

This chapter is talking about arranging speech in sequence, because almost all subjects can be developed by using a logical sequence based on time, space or special topics.
In the time sequence, for instance, it will be under the 3 categories of past, present and future.  This method helps the audience to follow a story and is easy to understand. If I listen TED talks, I can see this type of sequence all the time. The audience is presented the past and some problems are explained that they had in their life, then something happened to change their life style and become so successful and a happy ending story as present so that this happy ending story can motivate the audience and sometimes, it encourages people too.
Having a sequence also helps the speaker to memorize their speech as a big picture so that the speaker can remember the talk sequence with the flow.
So, I think it is important to have a sequenced talk because It is like a story board, when the director makes a movie so that they can lay down each part.
